Leadership

Lance and Lynn, his wife of forty-four years, have three children, five grandchildren, and have lived in Oxnard their entire married lives. They began Calvary Chapel Oxnard in 1982 with a dozen friends. Today, the church has about a thousand adults each Sunday. CCO’s outreach to the community includes a 24-hour low-power FM radio station, 101.5 FM, "Worship 101." The ministry of CCO is centered on expository teaching of the Scriptures, verse by verse, chapter by chapter, and book by book. As of this posting, Pastor Lance is closing in on the fifth time teaching through the entire bible.

Pastor Lance is the author of Marriage: As It Was Meant To Be and authors the popular podcast "Communio Sanctorum: History of the Christian Church" (www.sanctorum.us). He holds a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies and Ministry from Channel Islands Bible College & Seminary. Lance enjoys backpacking, wood-working, working out, gardening, home improvement projects, reading, and graphic design. Oh – and he loves using food illustrations in his teaching.

After 41 years of pastoral ministry at Calvary, Lance and Lynn are handing off the lead pastor role to a new pastor. Lance will then begin a new chapter of ministry as a content provider and pastor at large for Enduring Word (www.enduringword.com).

Pastor Eric oversees the Administration, or "Provision" department at CCO, managing facilities, finances, and the other critical "behind the scenes" aspects of the ministry. Eric also serves as our Mission Pastor, raising up and equipping new short and long term missionaries from our congregation, as well as supporting those already on the field.

Hannah is the manager for our Cross Reference Bookstore, and graphic artist for church announcements and events. Additionally, she oversees the Calvary Oxnard database.

RosaLinda oversees finances, church staff, and coordinating the admin department.  She is a mother of four, and her family has been in fellowship here at CCO since 1989.

Olga shares the love of Christ and a welcome all who visit CCO. She’s here to support the body in communicating all upcoming events.

Sharon has been on staff since 2004. She first joined the team as a Children's Ministry Assistant, but later began serving as the Children's Ministry Director. Currently, as our Families Minister, she oversees the the various ministries that raise up the next generation at CCO: Children, Junior High, and High School. She also oversees the big events that happen on occasion at CCO, such as conferences and church retreats. She has a heart to encourage, build up, and pour into those God puts in her area of influence.
She and her husband Dennis have been blessed with three sons and six amazing grandchildren. Just ask her about any of them--she is always updating her co-workers! She enjoys worship music while she works, chocolate covered strawberries, and cozy sweaters.

Bernadette has been serving in the Children's Ministry alongside her husband, Dante, since 2010.  They have been married for 21 years and have two incredible children. She enjoys spending time with her family, decorating, craft projects, and watching movies. She loves serving in the Children's Ministry planning events, training volunteers, leading worship and seeing the children learning and living God's word.

Nancy assists Bernadette in various aspects of Children’s Ministry from Nursery through Elementary age. She equips the volunteers with resources and assistance so they can teach their classes.

Lew leads our Junior High Ministry with his wife, Janica. They have been married for over 9 years and have 3 sons. Both have been members of CCO since 2011 and has served in various ministries. Lew holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling: Marriage and Family from Liberty University.

Pastor Rob oversees the Pastoral Ministries Department, directing the various ministries that oversee spiritual growth and care. These ministries include Groups, pastoral care and counseling, benevolence, our Discipleship Program, as well as weddings, water baptism and memorial services. Rob preaches and teaches regularly and is also one of our regular worship leaders.

Rob and his wife Corey have 4 grown sons, a pre-teen, and 1 grandson. They enjoy drinking coffee together, and going for hikes. Rob is an avid runner, griller of meat, and roaster of his own coffee. He is passionate about helping people grow as followers of Jesus.

Clarivel originally joined the CCO staff in 2010 as the youth ministry assistant, but now serves by overseeing our various Groups and Care Ministries. She is passionate about God's Word and helping others experience the depth of His love through teaching and discipleship. She graduated from Biola University in 2008 with a degree in Communication Studies and Christian Education Ministries. Clarivel and her husband, Tuan, are proud parents to their amazing son who happens to be on the autism spectrum. She loves bagels, books, and her dog (Swaggy P).  

Pastor Jeff heads up the Services Department, overseeing all the parts that come together for church service gatherings, such as worship, ushers, sound, light, and video tech. Pastor Jeff is also frequently serves in preaching and teaching at CCO. Jeff has authored two books (Pit to Palace & Marriage and the Gospel). 

Eric Larsen handles the daily operation of Calvary’s own low-power FM radio station, Worship 101 Radio, and also the Word from Calvary archives.

Sandon leads and trains up the volunteers in our video ministry, who are responsible for recording the Sunday and Wednesday teachings and uploading them to our vid-cast internet site. His also produces our announcement videos for church activities, and documents and highlights those activities to recap what God is doing at CCO.

Pastor Jordan oversees the Worship ministry at CCO. He is passionate about leading our congregation to Jesus in worship, and loves equipping and organizing CCO's musicians into great teams. Jordan is married to Sydney. They have 2 children with a third coming in July 2024. The Youngs enjoy travel, hosting, food, & outdoor activities.

Pastor John’s ministers to our Spanish congregation.  He loves the verse by verse teaching at Calvary, and his aim is to simply teach the Word of God and strive to Magnify the Name of Jesus.
