Welcome to our web page.  We are honored that you would take the time to find out what we are all about.  Calvary Chapel of Oxnard’s Women’s Ministry is designed to meet the varied needs of women today.  We provide many opportunities for women to gather together to hear the Word of God, enter into praise and worship, fellowship and pray with other believers, and serve one another as we grow and conform to the image of Jesus Christ.  If you would like to become involved or just to get to know other ladies, we encourage you to come and participate in any of the Women’s Ministry events.  You will love being a part of a group of real women who desire to know God better and have fun learning along the way.

Upcoming Events:

Women Discipling Women – Friday, September 10, will be the next WDW event.  Sandy will be sharing about “Being Made New.”  As we focus on how Christ makes us new, we’ll make “new” old furniture with paint and tile.  2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

On Friday, October 29, we will be looking at what fellowship and hospitality are, and how we can be prepared for a season to focus on Jesus while blessing others.  There will be demonstrations on how to make main dishes ahead of time and how the whole family can work with Fondant to make a birthday cake for Jesus

Women’s Breakfast – Our last breakfast this year is Saturday, September 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  The cost is $7.  The theme is “Real Love” from 1 John 4:16b, “God is love, and all who live in love live in God.”  Cindy Feltes will be the guest speaker.  Come be refreshed by the Word of God and great food and fellowship.  We need to know how much food to prepare, so please contact Eloise through the church office at 485-0111 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Fall Bible Study – We begin our Fall Bible Study at the church on Thursday, September 23, at 9:00-11:00 am and 6:30-8:30 pm as we study the book “Live Deeply, A Study in the Parables of Jesus” by Lenya Heitzig and Penny Rose which is available in the church bookstore.  This nine week study will be going through November 18.  We will take a holiday break and resume with the Winter/Spring study in the book, “Live Fearlessly, A Study in Joshua.” Childcare is available but we need for you to let us know how many children you will be bringing.  For more information, please contact Caryn Trigg through the church office by calling 485-0111 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Annual Retreat – Signups are now being taken for the women’s retreat which will be held at The Oaks at Lake Hughes this year.  The theme is “The Race” from Hebrews 12:1-2.  Go to the Women’s Retreat page on our Web site to register.  If you register before September 12 the price is $205, after September 12 it is $215.  For more information please contact Liz Nichol at 484-2079 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Ministries We Offer:

Bible Study (Colossians 1:28) – The Women’s Bible Study meets every Thursday at 9:00 am and 6:30 pm with the purpose of deepening our relationship with God and encouraging our spiritual growth through prayer, worship, teaching, and small group fellowship.

Prayer (Isaiah 61:1-4) – Fruitful Vineyards will be meeting for prayer the 1^st and 3^rd Tuesdays at the church in Room 205 from 7-9 pm.  This is a prayer ministry for women committed to living holy lives by seeking God under the leading of the Holy Spirit in a setting which values confidentiality and expresses the love and grace of Christ.  We look forward to seeing lives changed as we listen to God and carry out His plan.  You are welcome to join us for prayer when you can.

Women Discipling Women – We meet for the purpose of encouraging one another to experience the joy of the practical application of God’s word in our everyday lives, whether that be in cooking, gardening, decorating or other areas.  We share our gifts and abilities that are designed by God while having fellowship in a real-life setting.  Check the calendar below for the next event.

Women’s Breakfasts (1 Peter 4:10) – This ministry provides women an opportunity to connect with other women at a breakfast on Saturday morning every other month and to encourage us in our relationship with Jesus Christ through hearing the Word of God and witnessing how God is working in others’ lives.  We look forward to having you join us.

Annual Retreat –The purpose of our retreat is to withdraw from the world and find seclusion in the Lord.  It is a time of refreshment which provides opportunities to build new friendships and strengthen established friendships through fellowship, prayer for one another, breaking bread together, worshipping our living God as one body, and learning about Him through teaching from His Word.  Please check back for information on the date of the next retreat.

Christmas Fellowship – We enjoy ushering in the Christmas season with a special women’s fellowship where we are reminded that Christmas starts with Christ.  The fellowship is held on the first Saturday in December at 6:30 pm.  We hope you will plan to attend.
