Welcome to our web page.  We are honored that you would take the time to find out what we are all about.  Calvary Chapel of Oxnard’s Women’s Ministry is designed to meet the varied needs of women today.  We provide many opportunities for women to gather together to hear the Word of God, enter into praise and worship, fellowship and pray with other believers, and serve one another as we grow and conform to the image of Jesus Christ.  If you would like to become involved or just to get to know other ladies, we encourage you to come and participate in any of the Women’s Ministry events.  You will love being a part of a group of real women who desire to know God better and have fun learning along the way.

Women Discipling Women – With summer here, we wanted to stay in touch and offer some fun, casual times to get together, get to know one another, and just hang out!  We have so many talented women in the church that are willing to share their ideas so we’ve pulled a few together and come up with some ideas.  Hopefully you’ll be able to join us and bring a friend along.  There is no charge, please just let me know you are coming by calling the church – 485-0111.

June 25 at 9:30a.m. Jenn Barry and Sandy Fuller are going to take all the mystery out of making a great pie.  They will do an assortment of fillings, crusts, and toppings and maybe even a little experimenting as well.  Some possibilities are:  Lemon with a crust that has nuts; chocolate strawberry cheesecake in a graham cracker crust, cream pie, etc.  We’ll see what they can come up with and just teach you how to play and test each step to ensure a great pie.

Bible Study – The Beth Moore Bible Study will continue on Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:30 pm through August 21.  We will be studying “A Woman’s Heart, God’s Dwelling Place” at the church.  Study books are $21 and can be purchased at the church bookstore.  It’s not too late to join us!

Women’s Breakfast – Saturday, August 16, will be a time of great food and fellowship, but the main dish will be Elaine Berg sharing an exciting testimony from her life.  Tickets can be purchased for $6 at the church.  We invite you to join us to hear what the Lord may have for you on that day.

Annual Retreat - Our annual Women's Retreat is coming up September 12-14 at Camp Mt. Crag’s in Malibu.  The theme this year is GENERATION TO GENERATION, Psalm 145:4, "One generation will praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts."  We have been meeting regularly to prepare this special weekend for you.  Our speaker this year is Judy Gerry who lives locally in Camarillo and has written several Bible studies titled, "Ancient Paths for Modern Women."  She is a wonderful, godly woman who anxiously awaits sharing God’s Word with you!  Registration begins August 3, 2008.

Bible Study (Colossians 1:28) – The Women’s Bible Study meets every Thursday at 9:30 am and 6:30 pm with the purpose of deepening our relationship with God and encouraging our spiritual growth through prayer, worship, teaching, and small group fellowship.  Our study in Exodus ends May 15, and the summer Bible study with Beth Moore will begin June 5 on Thursday evenings only.

Prayer (Isaiah 61:1-4) – Fruitful Vineyards will be meeting for prayer the 1^st and 3^rd Tuesdays at the church in Room 205 from 7-9 pm.  This is a prayer ministry for women committed to living holy lives by seeking God under the leading of the Holy Spirit in a setting which values confidentiality and expresses the love and grace of Christ.  We look forward to seeing lives changed as we listen to God and carry out His plan.  You are welcome to join us for prayer when you can.

Women’s Breakfasts (1 Peter 4:10) – This ministry provides women an opportunity to connect with other women at a breakfast on Saturday morning every other month and to encourage us in our relationship with Jesus Christ through hearing the Word of God and witnessing how God is working in others’ lives.  We look forward to having you join us at out next breakfast in August.

Side By Side (Zephaniah 3:9) – We desire to fulfill the Great Commission by creating disciples through partnering with sisters in Christ at the Lighthouse Life Recovery Program.  Our purpose is to come alongside our fellow sisters one-on-one and encourage them in their growth as new believers through formal and informal discipleship.  We are challenged to grow in our walk with Jesus as we extend unconditional love and commit to consistently meeting with our partner.  If you are interested in coming alongside one of these precious children of God, please let us know.

Annual Retreat – This year our retreat will be held on September 12-14 at Camp Mt. Crags in Malibu Canyon.  The purpose of our retreat is to withdraw from the world and find seclusion in the Lord.  It is a time of refreshment which provides opportunities to build new friendships and strengthen established friendships through fellowship, prayer for one another, breaking bread together, worshipping our living God as one body, and learning about Him through teaching from His Word.  Please check back for information on how and when to register.

Christmas Fellowship – We enjoy ushering in the Christmas season with a special women’s fellowship where we are reminded that Jesus is the reason for the season.  This year the event will be held on Saturday evening, December 6, at 6:30 pm.  We hope you will plan to attend.
