Who:

Refuge exist for those ages 18-28

Refuge

Vision:

Refuge exists for this generation to seek to know God and His heart for our lives; to express in praise and actions our love andpassion for Him, and to take the message of Christ’s redemption to a lost and broken generation.

Focus:

The Bible:

We desire to be “reading distinctly” from the scriptures; and then seek to understand the meaning that we may apply it to our lives.

(Neh. 8:8 and  2 Tim. 3:16)

Worship:

We desire to express our love and appreciation to God in a way that is meaningful to us. We will express this in songs as well as a life that is surrendered to Him.

(Psalm 51: 15-17 and Rom. 12:1-2)

Discipleship:

We desire to share the message of the redemption available to all people accomplished by Jesus Christ on the Cross. We then purpose to train those people in the ways of Jesus, in hopes to bring them to a fruitful, full and mature life.

(Matt. 16:24 and Matt. 28:19)

Topics For Prayer:
1. Comfort for those in trials

2. How God may use you to minister to others

3. A reviving of the People of God

Paul uses a bit of a word play at the end of Phil. 3:12. What does this verse mean? How should this affect our daily lives or our plans for the future?

To Live is Christ E-mail
Written by Paul Kiner

Warren Wiersbe suggests for his readers to consider the following. Paul said "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." If you could answer this for your own life what would go in the blanks? Here are a few that have been suggested to stir our consideration: "For me to live is Money, and to die is to leave it all behind", or "For me to live is Fame, and to die is to be forgotten".

Any thoughts...

Any good insights into what Paul is saying?

Whats Up With The Emergent Church?

If you're a believer who's also a net-crawler (someone who spends time on the internet) chances are you're already encountered something called the Emergent Church or the Emergent Church Movement. Unless you've done a LOT of reading, you're probably a bit confused about it. That's because there's no set definition for what "emergent" means.
