I just listened to an mp3 sermon from a worship conference I attended last year and I love what this guy had to say: Intimacy with God leads to a greater Capacity of what he can do with you which leads to a greater Potency of what He's doing through you. 
Everything leads back to our intimacy with God.

A friend told me about a band named "Future of Forestry" so I checked them out and I think they are probably one of my top 5 favorite bands right now. They are a Christian band and some of there songs are worship songs and some are just about our daily walk, but I love the feel of their music. Check them out if you get a chance.

Hi, my name is Chris and I'm the Worship Director Here at Calvary Oxnard. I figured for my first blog I'd share a little bit abut myself for those of you who don't know me.

I grew up in Soledad, CA on a Cattle Ranch where we raised cattle, sheep and pigs. I met my wife Michelle while we were attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and we got married right after we graduated. We then moved to Ventura which is where we currently reside with our daughter Hannah. Some of my hobbies are hunting, fishing, playing and watching sports and of course playing music.

Some random facts about me are that I can't spell to save my life and I absolutely love a good quote. For instance: "I cannot admire a man that can only think of one way to spell a word," Abe Lincoln. Here's another, "If you don't have time to do something right, when will you have time to do it again?" John Wooden. So there are a few random facts about me with some probable spelling errors :-).
