What was the last thing Jesus heard as He headed off into the wilderness for 40 days? He spent that time alone, most assuredly pondering the implications of what God had just declared. How did the Father’s words prepare Jesus to handle the devil’s temptations?
In overcoming temptation, it’s crucial we know who we are in Christ, because the root of temptation is to define ourselves by something else that is a fraud. To that end, read the first three chapters of Ephesians to discover all you are in Christ.
