Luke – Day 15

THE CHANGE REPENTANCE BRINGS – Luke 3:10-14; James 2:14-17

How does John describe specific evidences of repentance in vs. 11-14; that is, what three “fruits” (v. 8) does he give here?

On Sunday, Pastor Lance said these could be understood as, “1) Care for the needy, 2) Committed to holiness, 3) Trust in God.” Do you agree or disagree with that? How would you describe them?

More importantly, what do each of them look like for you personally?

Why is it important for repentance to result in changed values and behavior? What was John the Baptist’s attitude toward repentance that didn’t result in change?
